Gala fundraising software

Run the whole gala from one screen.

Kause follows one event the whole way through: tickets and tables weeks before, one-tap check-in at the door, live pledge rounds from a QR code on every table, and a donor record that is complete the morning after.

Free for organizations raising under $5M a year. No card, no waiting, sign in the moment you sign up.

Running their galas on Kause

The night

One evening funds the year. It runs on a clipboard.

A gala is the most money most organizations raise in one place, and it is usually managed with a ticket tool, a printed guest list, paper pledge cards and a spreadsheet that someone rebuilds the next morning. It leaks in three places.

The door

A line, and a list nobody can find a name on

Guests arrive in a rush at the same twenty minutes. Volunteers flip through printouts, the walk-in has nowhere to go, and the person who bought a table cannot find out who is sitting at it.

The appeal

Paddles in the air, totals on faith

The room gives in a few charged minutes. Cards get collected, amounts get misread, and the announced total is a best guess that finance will quietly correct a week later.

The morning after

Three exports and a week of typing

Tickets in one system, pledges on paper, donors in another. Someone reconciles all three by hand, thank-yous go out late, and half the pledges are never followed up at all.

What Kause is for

Sell the tickets. Open the doors. Run the appeal. Thank the room.

The platform

Four jobs, one evening, one place.

Gala software usually stops at the ticket. Kause follows the night the whole way through, so nothing gets re-typed from one spreadsheet into another.

Weeks before

Sell tickets, tables and sponsorships

Individual seats, whole tables and sponsor tiers with their own perks, promo codes, custom intake questions and reserved seating. Money goes straight into your own Stripe account, and every order and refund is tracked against the event.

At the door

Check guests in with one tap

Volunteers search by name, email or phone and tap once. Walk-ins are added on the spot, tables and paddle numbers are assigned at the door, and the whole team can see who has arrived from anywhere in the room. Guests get their details by text before the night.

During the appeal

Run the pledge rounds live

A QR code on every table opens the giving screen on a guest's own phone: pick a fund, enter an amount, tap once. Rounds stay locked until you open them, the board updates the moment a pledge lands, and the total you announce is the total you have. Anonymous gifts and employer matching are built in.

The morning after

Keep every donor in one record

Tickets, pledges and gifts from every event land on one contact record. Pledge fulfilment is tracked with automatic reminders, duplicates are found and merged, and a Google Sheet stays in sync so the reports you already have keep working.

Getting started

Ready before the invitations go out.

Three steps, in order. Most organizations finish all of them in one sitting.

  1. 1

    Create your account

Sign up with your email and you are in. No card, no approval queue, no call with sales. Add your organization's name and the teammates who will work the night.

  2. 2

Connect Stripe and build the event

Link the Stripe account you already have so money lands with you directly. Set up ticket tiers, tables and sponsorships, the funds guests can give to, and the pledge rounds you plan to run.

  3. 3

Print the QR codes and run the night

One code per table. Check guests in at the door, open the rounds when the emcee is ready, and read the total off the board. The thank-yous and the donor records are done before the room empties.

Pricing

Free for the organizations that need it most.

Talk to us

Payments are processed by Stripe at Stripe's standard rates, paid to Stripe, through your own account. Kause adds no percentage on either plan.

On the night

What changes when the spreadsheet stays home.

The door keeps moving

One tap per guest, walk-ins added in seconds, and everyone on the team can see arrivals from their own phone.

The total is real when you announce it

Every pledge is on the board the moment it is made, under the round it belongs to, with the name the guest chose.

The follow-up starts that night

Thank-yous go out on the spot, pledges are tracked to fulfilment, and the donor record is complete before anyone opens a laptop.

Questions

Before you sign up.

Is Kause really free?

Yes, for organizations raising under $5M a year. There is no Kause fee on tickets, pledges or donations, no monthly cost, and no card to start. Payments run through your own Stripe account at Stripe’s standard rates, with no markup from us.

What do our guests need?

A phone. Each table gets a QR code; guests scan it, pick a fund, type an amount and tap once. No app, no account, no login. They can give anonymously if they prefer, and the thank-you arrives on their screen straight away.

How long does it take to set up?

Create an account and you are in immediately. Connect Stripe, build the event with its ticket tiers, tables and sponsorships, and print the QR codes. Most organizations do all of it in one sitting.

Can we run it on a gala we have already sold tickets for?

Yes. Import your guest list, and use Kause for check-in, the live appeal and the follow-up. You can add ticketing on the next event, or never; the parts work on their own.

Who owns the data, and can we get it out?

You do. Every guest, ticket, pledge and donor record can be exported at any time, and Kause can keep a Google Sheet in sync automatically so your existing reports keep working.

What about the night itself?

Locked rounds stay hidden until you open them, the board updates the moment a pledge lands, and walk-ins can be added at the door in seconds. Institutional plans include event-night support from our team.
